SANTA CLARA, Calif. — September 29, 2026NVIDIA has launched its Open Agent Safety Platform, a set of tools designed to improve security and control over autonomous AI agents.
Announced on Sept. 28, the platform combines OpenShell, open-source software that restricts agents’ access and actions, with NVIDIA Sentry, a monitoring system designed to detect and contain rule-violating activity. It runs on NVIDIA Vera CPUs and BlueField-4 data processing units.
NVIDIA said companies including Cisco, CrowdStrike and Microsoft are supporting the initiative. The launch highlights a growing area for cybersecurity firms, although its commercial impact remains uncertain.
Investors will be watching adoption rates, new partnerships and future company disclosures for signs of how the emerging AI security market develops.
